Strategy Trade-Off of Predominant Stress Tolerance Relative to Competition and Reproduction Associated with Plant Functional Traits under Karst Forests

چکیده

The Grime (1974) CSR framework posits that ecological strategies of competition, stress tolerance and ruderal reflect plants’ adaptability to their survival environments. Karst forests are crucial for terrestrial ecosystem functions. However, how karst regulate plant functional traits in strategy adapt infertile habitats remains unclear. Therefore, we surveyed fifty-three forest plots measured involving the plan diameter at breast height (DBH), height, leaf area (LA), specific (SLA), dry matter content (LDMC), carbon (LC) nitrogen (LN) phosphorus (LP) with water (LWC). We calculated components on individual community levels introduced by community-weighted means (CWM) using ‘StrateFy’ calculator. Principal component analysis (PCA) Mantel’s test were used investigate trait correlations components. Our results showed (S) contributed an average 65.88% 63.63% individuals communities, respectively, followed competition (C) 25.82% 29.63%, least, (R), 8.30% 6.74%. Different exhibited different variations, coupled significant between PC1 scores (except CWM− LA, SLA LDMC). Component S increased increase LC C:N ratio, decreased DBH, Height, LWC, LN, N:P while it was opposite C R, highlighting strategic trade-offs associated traits. revealed varied key combinations each strategy. In conclusion, predominant relative is a result regulating forests, association disentangled provide insights into theoretically understanding maintenance ecosystems as evolutional regulation mechanism.

a comparison of teachers and supervisors, with respect to teacher efficacy and reflection

supervisors play an undeniable role in training teachers, before starting their professional experience by preparing them, at the initial years of their teaching by checking their work within the proper framework, and later on during their teaching by assessing their progress. but surprisingly, exploring their attributes, professional demands, and qualifications has remained a neglected theme i...

construction and validation of translation metacognitive strategy questionnaire and its application to translation quality

like any other learning activity, translation is a problem solving activity which involves executing parallel cognitive processes. the ability to think about these higher processes, plan, organize, monitor and evaluate the most influential executive cognitive processes is what flavell (1975) called “metacognition” which encompasses raising awareness of mental processes as well as using effectiv...

Predicting coexistence of plants subject to a tolerance-competition trade-off.

Ecological trade-offs between species are often invoked to explain species coexistence in ecological communities. However, few mathematical models have been proposed for which coexistence conditions can be characterized explicitly in terms of a trade-off. Here we present a model of a plant community which allows such a characterization. In the model plant species compete for sites where each si...

The color of plant reproduction: macroecological trade-offs between biotic signaling and abiotic tolerance

Flowers and fruits are often vividly colored. An obvious explanation for fruit and flower pigmentation is that it serves to attract animal mutualists. However, decades of research has produced equivocal support for the hypothesis that animals are the primary selection pressure acting on the color of plant reproductive structures. Exciting new research into geographic variation in flower colors ...

Management trade-off between aboveground carbon storage and understory plant species richness in temperate forests.

Because forest ecosystems have the capacity to store large quantities of carbon (C), there is interest in managing forests to mitigate elevated CO2 concentrations and associated effects on the global climate. However, some mitigation techniques may contrast with management strategies for other goals, such as maintaining and restoring biodiversity. Forest thinning reduces C storage in the overst...
